Duckling In Space

Soft cottons, tiered dresses, fairytale prints, ice cream hues.

Ethically made. Locally made. Made to order. Minimal waste. Sustainable. Transparent.

Duckling In Space is created by Abbey Barnes in Melbourne.

Can you share a little more about your values?

Ethically Made & Locally Made: All clothing for Duckling In Space is manufactured locally in Melbourne using ethically compliant suppliers and producers.

Made to order: Duckling In Space focuses on small production runs and customers are encouraged to pre order new arrival stock. Duckling In Space also takes order requests for previously available designs.

Minimal Waste: Duckling In Space focuses on small scale production practices and where possible, encourages customers to pre order new arrival stock, to reduce waste and avoid over production. Duckling In Space also utilises all excess fabric to create smaller pieces, such as scrunchies and bags.

Sustainable: Duckling In Space uses natural fibres and repurposed fabrics for its garments, compostable mailers and recycled paper for gift cards, swing tags and gift wrapping.

Transparent: Check out the Duckling In Space journal to see interviews with some of the many Melbourne based makers and businesses that contribute to the making of Duckling In Space.
