Can you share a little more about your values?
GLINDEMAN. the label is a handmade, independent fashion brand created by Brittany Glindeman. As a brand our focus is on creating comfortable, trans-seasonal and timeless pieces from linen that our customers can continue to wear year after year. Our goal is to focus individual’s minds towards a more ethical approach to fashion by choosing to support ‘slow fashion’ labels.
All of the pieces are designed and handmade from our studio in New South Wales, Australia. Each item is made to order, no items are pre-made as we aspire to reduce fabric wastage as much as possible. As each piece is handmade this allows the customer to make changes to any of the designs, whether it’s the hem length you would like to alter or the choice of fabric.
Which particular fabrics do you use?
Linen – a beautiful soft fabric and is friendly to our planet, compared to cotton.
Any extra efforts you make at GLINDEMAN that you can share?
As everything is made in the one place, fabric wastage is controlled by keeping the smallest of smallest off cuts for future usage.
