Lois Hazel

Classic, elevated, comfortable, ethical, honest.

Ethically made. Locally made. Sustainable. Transparent.

Lois Hazel is a premium Australian womenswear label committed to sustainable and ethical practices.

Lois Hazel is located and manufactured in Brunswick, Victoria.

Who makes your clothes?

CGT Clothing Manufacturers based in Brunswick.

Can you share a little more about your values?

Ethically made & locally made: Made either in house in my Brunswick studio, or at ethically accredited factory, CGT, who are also based in Brunswick.

Sustainable: Investing in high quality sustainable + natural fabrics such as, GOTS certified organic cotton, Lenzing Tencel, handloom cottons, deadstock fabrics. All tags and labels in garments are either made out of a recycled polyester (brand labels) or an organic cotton (care labels + info labels). No plastic is used in packing online orders. Orders are either sent out in a biodegradable mailer or cardboard box with all marketing collateral (postcards, order form etc) printed on recycled paper. Swing tags are also printed on recycled card using vegetable based inks. All studio fabric scraps are saved and boxed up then delivered to UPPAREL who re-work, sell on or recycle to prevent them from ending up in landfill. All studio soft plastics (Returns sent in Auspost bags, plastic covers over fabric etc) are recycled with Red Cycle.

Transparent: We do our best to learn as much as we can about the supply chain of the fabrics + supplies we use in our garments and share this information clearly on each product page on the website.

Which particular fabrics do you use?

Natural Fibres, Cotton, Linen, Silk, tencel etc. Great for the environment, especially when certified organic or lenzing, and have a beautiful hand, breathability and don’t shed any nasties when washing. They also give you such beautiful textures and colours, especially when dyed using natural dyes or are handloomed.
