Nisa

Ethical underwear, loungewear and swimwear.

Ethically made. Locally made. Made to order. Minimal waste. Social enterprise/charitable. Sustainable. Transparent.

Nisa is an underwear label and social enterprise, employing women from refugee and migrant backgrounds.  For the Nisa team, a job is about so much more than a pay cheque – it’s about making friends, practising English and feeling like a valued member of a team.

Nisa is located and manufactured in Wellington, New Zealand.

Who makes your clothes?

Our employees – our mission is to employ women from refugee and migrant backgrounds.

Can you share a little more about your values?

Ethically-made: We have control over our entire production to ensure that we are supporting our team.

Locally-made: The brand was built in Wellington and we still produce every pair of underwear in our workshop and store on Willis St.

Made to order: We can customise the straps and cup sizes of some of our bras.

Minimal waste: We use plastic-free packaging and underwear production to reduce fabric offcuts.

Social enterprise: We employ women from refugee and migrant backgrounds.

Sustainable: We use GOTS certified organic cotton and recycled materials.

Transparent: You can walk into the Nisa workshop to see the garments being made.

Diversity and inclusion: We try to show a diverse range of people wearing Nisa garments. We currently have an inclusive sizing range that we will be expanding as the business grows.
