Who makes your clothes?

My mum, Louisa.

Can you share a little more about your values?

Ethically made: We are a small production of just Mum and I, so we have full visibility and control over working conditions and pay.

Locally made: All items are made in Mum’s home.

Made to order: All items are made to order, which is why we are able to offer custom sizing.

Minimal waste: Being made to order, we are able to minimise excess stock and therefore waste.

Transparent: We aim to be as transparent with our customers as possible, and we’re able to do so because we are such a small scale business.

Which particular fabrics do you use?

Our Summer range ‘Aperitivo’ uses 100% pure French linin. Linen is a natural fabric that is lightweight, easy to wear, and becomes softer with age. We aim to use natural fibres where possible to minimise our impact on the environment.

Any extra efforts you make at Poppie that you can share?

We don’t believe in exclusive sizing, so we offer custom sizing on all our products. Customers can send their measurements and we can use this to find their size.
