Who makes your clothes?

I do!

Can you share a little more about your values?

Ethically made: All Sanct garments are lovingly made by my own two hands in the Sanct studio on Wurundjeri Country (Melbourne). Our patterns are made by an ECA accredited local business. When we expand we will keep our garments locally made, only manufacturing with factories who hold ECA accreditation.

Locally Made: Our pattern making, manufacturing and production of some fabrics takes place in Melbourne, Australia.

Minimal Waste: Cutting in house allows us to only make what we need and avoid over-production. We keep all our off cuts and will make these into smaller items or recycle them. Sanct garments are created to last, circulating on bodies until the end of life where the item can be sent back to us or composted. We also offer lifetime repairs within Australia.

Sustainable: We work with deadstock natural fibres and GOTS organic fabrics. We also keep our trims plastic free, using tencel or GOTS cotton threads, natural rubber elastic, cotton fusing and FSC swing tags with unbleached cotton cords.

Transparent: Every Sanct item has a full supplier breakdown on the product page. You can read where every component has been sourced from fabric, threads, to our shipping boxes!

Which particular fabrics do you use?

We utilise deadstock natural fibres and GOTS certified fabrics in our collections. What we love about the GOTS organic standard more than any other organic certification standard is how rigorous it is in regards to the environment and social standards. It also ensures full transparency as they use a Transaction Certificate system. We use deadstock fabrics to take responsibility for some of the textile waste produced by the industry.

Any extra efforts you make at Sanct that you can share?
