Milk and Thistle

Refined, considered, made in small quantities.

Ethically made. Locally made. Minimal waste. Transparent.

Milk and Thistle is known for its signature digital and screen prints on well constructed, easy-fit garments.

Milk and Thistle is located in Bangalow/Sydney and manufactured in Sydney, NSW.

Who makes your clothes?

The makers are Linda and Tony. The cutters are Landy & Steven.

Can you share a little more about your values?

Our garments are made in small quantities so we have next to no stock left of each range (only one garment rack after 10 years). Our garments are made in Sydney in a completely transparent production chain which we share with all new mail list subscribers.

Which particular fabrics do you use?

Natural fibres, but predominantly linen. We believe of all the natural fabrics it is the least pollutant to our environment, it lasts the longest and is the most transeasonal for the Australian summers and winters.

Any extra efforts you make at Milk and Thistle that you can share?

We use minimal plastic where possible including with our post satchels and swing tickets.

Can you share some labels you admire?

Mimi Holvast, Annie Hamilton, Dominique Healey, Bilboa, Radical Yes, Ruby Raisin, Read and Bell, Edith Rewa, Variety Hour, Jume, Aneau, Ginny and Jude, Sovereign Collection, Castledon Co – the list could be never ending!
